NJSDA Region 8 Program Management
Envision Consultants, Ltd. assisted the GREYHAWK project team as a subconsultant monitoring work for the New Jersey School Construction Corporation’s (NJSCC) $8.6 billion Abbott School Program, a state-wide school construction initiative. This was the largest public construction program ever undertaken by the State of New Jersey, and was one of the largest of its type to be implemented in the nation. This program included the oversight of twelve school construction projects in six different school districts across the state, each with demanding delivery schedules; costs range from $9 million to $70 million. The project team functioned as an extension of SCC’s staff, providing oversight during both the design and construction phases including budgeting, site selection, design development, swing space requirements, permitting, approvals, bidding, construction, start-up and close-out.
Envision established, implemented, customized, and maintained a comprehensive web-based project controls system utilizing Primavera Contract Manager 11.1 (original conversion from Expedition 8.5) for the project team ensuring that the database met the needs of the NJSCC. The team was comprised of numerous companies that needed access to the database remotely via a web server and was customized to meet the needs of multiple users. Envision produced a variety of customized management and owner reports and provided training to the individual project users (A/E firms, General Contractors and Project Managers). Envision was responsible for CPM scheduling services, Document Control and Database Management full-time for the program.
