Harrison Township New Police Station Building
The project is to construct a new 12,200 square foot Police Station in historic Mullica Hill, Harrison Township New Jersey. The building will house the Operational, Administrative Offices and a High Security Area, with an open Public entrance. The high Security Area is remote and separated from the Administrative Offices. It includes individual cells, and larger holding cells in the booking area and a Sally Port for secure prisoner transport.
The building is a one story structure, slab on grade, with a twenty foot high glass and steel public entrance. The building is a completely secure building with cameras, life safety, and secured entrances and with a fire sprinkler system throughout.
Site work consists of modifying and deepening the existing storm water control basin and additional grading, paving and installation of stone surfaces at the adjacent existing Public Works Building. All drive aisles and parking areas will be on asphalt with a decorative paver circular parking area at the building’s entrance. Miscellaneous site features include utility sidewalks, flag poles signage, site furnishings, and high security fencing with a card reader entrance gates.
Envision’s scope of work includes all construction management services to oversee the construction of the Police Building. The construction manager is responsible for the daily logs and job progress photographs and reports. The construction manager is also responsible to review the monthly cost and schedule progress and the change order and request for information log. In addition, Envision performed a value engineering review of the drawings and saved the township $25K.
