DRJTBC Delaware Water Gap
The Delaware Water Gap Toll Bridge connects Hardwick Township, Warren County, New Jersey with the Borough of Delaware Water Gap, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. Carrying I-80 across the Delaware River near Stroudsburg, Pa., the bridge is the primary gateway between the heavily populated areas of northeastern New Jersey/New York City, and the Pocono Mountains resorts region and the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area.
Envision began the project working as a subconsultant to the Design Team (Stantec) for the Delaware Water Gap (I-80) Open Road Tolling Project in 2008, was given the opportunity to continue working with the Construction Management Team (Greenman Pederson Inc.). As the ORT project has wrapped up at the Delaware Water Gap, Envision has since been awarded continued efforts for the Bridge Rehabilitation Project. Work under this project includes replacing existing bearings, cleaning and painting of the entire structure, developing repairs to the bridge deck and deck joints, and sealing the bridge deck.
Envision’s portion of the project is to develop and implement a public outreach plan for the agency to inform public officials, townships, various state agencies and the general public. In addition to Public Involvement, Envision is assigned the responsibility for CPM Scheduling services, which includes the review of the contractor's construction schedule and the review of monthly updates.
