Scheduler - New York City

 

Summary/Objective:
The Scheduler position is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining Primavera CPM construction schedules.

Essential Functions:

  • The scheduler shall have an in depth knowledge of construction practices and sequencing
  • The construction scheduler shall review construction schedules with supporting documentation to assist the project teams
  • Assist the Project Team in evaluating and monitoring the Contractors progress schedule as well as consulting and troubleshooting issues throughout the construction of the project
  • Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling knowledge/experience and the ability to analyze schedules to determine duration and logical issues
  • Proficiency developing detailed resource loaded design and construction schedules, and preparing progress/status reports and performance of earned value analysis
  • Experience with time impact analysis
  • Construction scheduler should have experience integrating the construction schedule into the master schedule
  • The scheduler shall have excellent computer skills with in depth knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software and Microsoft Project
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel will be required
  • Experience with construction schedules for the design-build phase of the projects

Position Type
This is a full-time position.

Travel
Ability to travel to various jobs sites and Envision offices as needed.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Information Systems, Business or Construction Management with 0-5 years of experience preferred
  • Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling knowledge/experience and the ability to analyze schedules to determine duration and logic issues
  • Proficiency developing detailed resource loaded design and construction schedules, and preparing progress/status reports and performance of earned value analysis. Experience with time impact analysis
  • Construction claims and change order experience is preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills solid organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel will be required
  • Ability to utilize Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software
  • Familiarity with engineering and construction related terminology

Cost Estimator - New York City

 

Summary/Objective
The Cost Estimator is required to create budget estimates using drawings and bid documents created by the design team.

Essential Functions

  • Performs accurate quantity surveys to estimate the cost of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor's work, ascertaining that all CSI categories of work have been accounted for prior to submitting estimate for review.
  • Manages time frames to ensure jobs are completed in the most efficient manner possible.  Accounts for any long lead material in advance to allow team to coordinate these delays into overall scheduling strategies.
  • Ensures all items that are revised or changed on a project are accounted for and documented.
  • Analyzes information and develops budgets, from conceptual stages thru final construction documentation
  • Controls project costs by collecting and studying information on design, procurement and construction, and implementing most current data in construction management software system.
  • Interfaces with design and construction personnel to produce accurate costs and scopes of work based on project drawings and specifications.
  • Problem solves and makes decisions independently.
  • Uses and manages computerized software and database systems.
  • Maintains a high degree of integrity, loyalty and honesty.

  • Minimum of five years of estimating experience.
  • B.S./B.A. degree
  • Experience in A/E/C industry.
  • Experience in using RSMeans Estimating guides, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication, organizational and time management skills. Attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline-oriented.
